Proof of life... the board responds to a concerned parent!

This is good news. Today I was contacted by a parent who personally reached out to the Board of Directors regarding some concerns they had and they received a warm and caring response. Wanting to personally address any and all concerns they were experiencing.

And here at Canyons Informer, we hope the board member (who penned the email) will allow us to post it here in its entirety. As it would go a long way toward healing our club.

Here is our request to that specific board member.

Dear -------,

As you may know, we are leading a grass roots effort for change within the Canyons organization. And you recently sent a well worded email to a concerned parent.

I feel strongly that posting this on the blog would inform people that the board is in fact approachable and wants to work with parents to address their concerns.

Would you grant Canyons Informer permission to publish your email unedited and in its entirety?

Look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes,
Canyons Informer

-----

And we will stay plugged in throughout the week.

Fight for change.

  1. Is it possible that as much of the blame is on us as parents for simply sending in our money and expecting everything to work as we hoped without speaking up? I think so. Communication is what is needed. Please keep fighting the good fight C.I.

We are with you. And you are right, we can change things for the better. It's our club. OUR club.

    1. Don't get too excited. We aren't there yet. And who knows what is in that email!

  2. Did the board send out any communication to the members (the entire membership)of the club regarding this blog?

  3. Why hasn't the Board sent an e-mail to all of us? We all deserve to be addressed.

  4. What's the use of fielding questions one at a time. Still sounds like a non-responsive board.

Why haven't they called a real meeting to discuss the concerns that have been voiced here on Canyons Informer?

    Pretty chickenshit in my opinion!

If they aren't at fault, and simply inherited these issues they can claim that. People can be pretty understanding if things are explained honestly.

But to not address these concerns is unforgivable.
